The Saheli Day Centre reopened on Monday 7th September, and it was lovely to see all the ladies back after the summer holidays. The week has been filled with catching up, sharing holiday stories, relaxing art sessions, digital and literacy activities, and daily exercise to keep everyone active as the days begin to get shorter.

Sadly, this return has also brought great sadness with the loss of a much-loved member, Bibi Azizi, who passed away peacefully on 28th August with her family by her side.
Bibi was a cherished member of the Saheli family and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
A special remembrance gathering will be held at the centre on Wednesday 16th September in her honour. Donations are also being raised to build a water well in her name, creating a lasting legacy in her memory.
Heartfelt condolences go to Bibi’s family and loved ones. She will always be remembered with love.

Your presence, kind words, support, and shared memories made the occasion very meaningful. It was a beautiful opportunity to come together, honour her memory, and celebrate the wonderful person she was.

We are especially grateful to Bibi Azizi’s family for joining us and sharing this special time with everyone.
